Personal Accident Insurance  image

Until now financial members of VMA have been insured against Public Liability but not against Personal Accident. The VMA Committee has, on behalf of members, obtained and paid for Personal Accident Insurance for members up to the age of 80.

An explanatory brochure has been distributed to venues and can be accessed on this site as a pdf document  image.


Reminder - VMA Marathon - Entry Notification

Any financial VMA member who entered the Melbourne Marathon (and wishes to be acknowledged as entering the VMA Marathon Championship) must notify their Club Captain, Lavinia Petrie, of their entry, with details of age-group and home venue. No additional entry fee was required.

Results will be available to members via the web-site by October 24th. Medals will be distributed through your VMA venue.

Check out:

  • the Event Calendar, accessible via the left-hand menu, to view all programmed events of significance for VMA members, and access entry forms - includes major inter-venue events;   [Tip:  click on the Calendar's 'List' view to see all detail at a glance]
  • the Venue Schedule Calendar, to view the night-of-the-week schedule and times for each of the VMA venues - winter or summer seasons; and,
  • the Venue Locations and Contacts list for links to venue location maps/satellite photos - zoom in or out for required detail.

Plan your walking, running, jumping or throwing year! Or, at least the next few months.


Nominations for Life Membership

In accordance with Clause 3.4 of the VMA Constitution, two nominations for Life Membership were considered at the Annual General Meeting on 26th April 2009.

Congratulations to Astrid Rose and Clyde Riddoch who were presented with Life Membership of Victorian Masters Athletics.


VMA By-Laws

The purpose of the By Laws is to cover various aspects of administration that are currently either not covered by the Constitution or are incomplete and open to various interpretations.
