VMA Track & Field Championships

Entry fee of $10 per event with 5th event free (last year it was flat $20 per event).

NOTE: A processing fee will be added of $0.50 plus 2.75% for Australian issued credit cards OR 3.95 % for overseas cards.

The championship for the first time will feature both individual and a teams competition.

For individual competition, this will be the same as we have always had with medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd awarded for each Masters Age Group.

For teams competition every athlete in a team will have the ability to contribute points for their team as the measures used will be based around
                      (i) entering the event
                      (ii) events entered
                      (iii) performance age graded
                      (iv) performance estimated time.
There will be awards for the best performing teams and also for individual top age-graded and best estimated performance for both men & women. With the introduction of the teams to both events, Victorian athletes will wear their Venue or team / “home track” athletics top to the event (not VMA athletics top as before). For those to whom that does not apply they are free to wear any other competition top. 

The teams competition will be available for all Victorian based athletes – and any Victorian entering either of the events will have the opportunity to be part of a team. Those who currently have no affiliation with any team can join one by contacting the VMA contact for this event (see entry form). The individual competition is also open to interstate and overseas athletes who will be able to compete “by invitation”. Besides being aged 30+, the only other requirement is that each athlete has masters athletics affiliation. For those who don’t have this, VMA affiliation is available via both event entry forms for just $10/athlete. This affiliation also allows athletes to enter other VMA events throughout 2023.
