The VMA
Masters Athletics offers fitness, fun and fellowship across a range of athletic activities for men and women aged 30 and over. Victoria boasts a membership approaching a thousand, whilst the total for all Australian state clubs is over 3,500.The philosophy of the Masters movement is PARTICIPATION.

Two winter throws events are coming
- Aug 18 VMA Winter Throws Pentathlon Championship (entries now closed)
- Sep 22 VMA Heavy Weight Pentathlon Championship
The entry fee is $15 and will registrations close on Sunday 15th Sept.
All current VMA members are eligible to enter this event and once the registration numbers are confirmed, we will assign groups and notify the start times. Medals will be presented on the day to the top three placings in each age-group.

A VMA Winter teams’ track event, hosted by Doncaster Venue
Sunday 28th July saw the sixth running of the Winter Teams’ Track Challenge at Doncaster. The predicted rain and hail held off to allow for a busy program of track events. The day had something for all of the record 170 entrants. It started with Box Hill’s John Meagher making a successful World Record attempt at the M60-64, 10,000m! Our Victorian World Championship contenders had a last hit-out before departure to Gothenburg, and all members could test their progress on preparations for the upcoming summer season. At day’s conclusion, almost 7pm, Glen Eira was declared emphatic victor of the Team’s Shield, and Casey winners of the Minor Shield.
