Introducing a new format of the Doncaster 60 Minute Run /Walk in 2026. There will be the choice of running or walking either 60 minutes or 30 minutes. The choice is yours. Under the new format this year you will have the opportunity to enter as your sporting hero OR any hero. Whether you enter in name, dress or both is entirely up to you. When you check in on the night you will be given two (2) BLANK number plates. (Textas will be supplied). On one you write either 60 or 30 (the number of minutes you are running/walking for) This plate you pin on the REAR of your running top. On the second plate, write the name of who you will be running as,  i.e. “Rob Deeks SUTTON”. This plate is pinned to the FRONT of your running top. Dressing up as your hero is entirely up to you.

Water and cups will be supplied. Please use the bin placed on the track as best as you can and leave the track neat and tidy at the conclusion of the event. This would be greatly appreciated that you pick up any cups or rubbish left on the ground.

TIMETABLE ON THE NIGHT

630 PM Registration / Bib collection opens.

For those with lap counters, pick up a Lap Sheet and clip board. Lap counters please take a chair to sit on and then return the chair after the event.

The rest of you will be using GPS. Those using GPS will also pick up a Lap Sheet to fill in your total distance recorded on your watch. This is to be handed in to the recorder. It is recommended that you set your watch to 400m laps OR push the lap button at the conclusion of every lap.

700 PM Briefing / Questions for BOTH events at REGISTRATION.

730 PM 60 MINUTE RACE starts (Guest Olympian Starter)

8 PM 30 MINUTE RACE start. (Guest Olympian starter)

825 PM 5 Min warning BELL rung from the centre of the field . During the next 5 minutes you will be given a small plastic bag with sand in it. This is to be dropped on the ground at the conclusion of the race so that the distance of your last lap can be measured accurately.

830PM Finishing Bell to be rung from the centre of the field. When you hear the finishing bell, you are to drop your bag of sand on the track at the point where you heard the bell rung. Please stay at this point so that the distance recorders can note down the distance that you covered on your last lap and total number of laps that you ran. As this is a new format allowing GPS you may be able to let the recorder know on the spot your total distance. If you are unable at this stage then use YOUR lap sheet and hand that in As Soon As Possible to the recorder.
