Procedure and Forms for Claiming Masters Athletics Records

Instructions:

a. One of four record claim forms shown above is required for both Victorian and Australian record applications, and it needs to be fully completed, and signed by officials. 

Note: World record applications are made on one of four WMA record claim forms also shown below, and it needs to be fully completed, and signed by officials. Proof of date of birth is required by WMA by providing a birth certificate copy.

b. Please obtain copies of all relevant documentation used at the meeting, such as electronic timing print, zero test print, field events officials’ recording sheets, lap scoring sheet, walk judging sheet, and official results.  

c. Post the relevant record claim form and all documentation to State and Australian Records Officer, Clyde Riddoch (who will forward it to WMA if the claim is for a world record). Note that a record claim form and documentation can now be scanned and sent to Clyde as an email attachment.

Record Certificates

Record claimants do not need to be financial members of VMA, however, record certificates for Victorian, Australian or World records will only be issued to financial members, or members aged over 80.
