The John Gosbell Memorial 5km Teams’ Run

East Burwood Venue, Burwood Highway

Thursday 2nd June 2022 ~7:40pm

This is the sixteenth running of this event in memory of John Gosbell, a former Life Member of VMA and manager at the East Burwood venue.

Prize Categories

•  Fastest Male; Fastest Female; Best Age-Graded Male and Female Performances
•  Medals for winning team members for 1st and 2nd Division
•  Spot prizes decided by random draw
•  Teams comprise four runners each registered with the same venue (at least one runner must be female),
• Scoring is based on finishing place overall – the team with the lowest “score” (added up finishing places) wins.

1st Division: The best team from each venue to finish.

•  2nd Division: The next best teams from each venue, in effect the venues’ seconds and thirds etc.Venues may have more than one team entered. Each venue can only have one team in 1st Division. If a venue has more teams, the remaining teams will be in 2nd Division.Runners must put their names on the entry sheets before the race to help with collating the results.
  Teams do not have to be nominated however.

• Teams should provide a recorder to record their times. Recording sheets will be provided.
•  The venue teams are encouraged to wear venue singlets.
• VMA team members must be current financial VMA members.
• If not in a venue team, individuals may compete and be eligible forindividual prizes.Entry Fees: $20 per team or $5 per individual. Pay on the night with a credit or debit card.

7:00pm Shot put (Nearest On Distance) 7:10pm 800m walk NOT

7:30pm 100m sprint
