Croydon venue finally back in action
Over the past three years Croydon masters athletics venue has been hit with a succession of unprecedented and unavoidable imposts on the running of the venue. From Covid lockdowns to track closure with council undertaking an 18 month long major project.
This resulted in complete closure from May 2022 until February. However only from the beginning of June have the track, infield and lights become available. The carpark is still closed.
Croydon along with Collingwood is one of the two original venues set up 50 years ago. It is now time to support and bring the venue back to its former glory. It would be great for all previous Croydon members to return to the venue and others to consider visiting the venue on Tuesday evenings to help get the momentum going again.
