On what was forecast to be a miserable, windy wet day, the rain stayed away and everybody thought the new 8km cross country course was good.
Runners came from as far away as Geelong, Wonthaggi and Bendigo.
The results show that Lavinia Petrie raced home in 39min 26sec in the Women’s Division with an age-graded percentage of 91.9%, followed by Helen Stanley in 40min 5 sec.
Shane Draper led the Men’s Division home in 30min 43sec, while Peter Cowell was second in 31min 27sec, and Trevor Kelly, third in 31min 45sec, showed his class with the top men’s age-graded percentage of 79.5%.
